Well, here goes. A peek into Fabion Vicks. College graduate. Musician. Retail manager. Now a School Counselor? Well that might sound out of place. But in the grand scheme of it all, it works out.

I am from Cairo, Georgia, but have lived in California, Virginia, Atlanta, and now Macon, Georgia. I am a graduate of Fort Valley State University with a major in Political Science. I also minored in Music Performance as well as Mass Communications. During my time at FVSU, I was Drum Major of the Blue machine Marching Band in 2001, as well as a student director in 2002. I am a recent graduate of Liberty University majoring in School Counseling on May 14th, 2016, I am excited and looking forward to working with the Appling Middle School students and staff.

Before my current path to education, I was in retail management with various companies. I was an Executive Assistant Manager with Walgreens from 2003-2007. I was a Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager with Dollar General from 2008-2009. From 2009-2012 I was an assistant manager with Harbor Freight Tools. While pursuing my Master's degree I was a part time Parts Sales Manager at AutoZone. I am familiar with Bibb County SChool system because I interned at Barden Elementary and Miller Magnet Middle School during the 2015-16 school year.

I have been to a lot of places, but if I would have never attended Fort Valley State University, I would have never met the most awesome person I have ever been around. Yolande and I have been married for 13 years and she is my biggest supporter, cheerleader, and advocate in what I want to do. I have been her biggest supporter in all of her endeavors. Without her, I couldn't, should I say wouldn't have the confidence in changing careers in my life. We have a awesome, beautiful, silly family. Our girls have grown up to be smart, charismatic, and beautiful ladies. without these women in my life, I could not be able to do the things I am doing today. I am a husband, father, an aspiring counselor, musician, and a people person and lets see how this journey begins.
